Alisha Dennis-Brinson

Dr. Alisha Dennis-Brinson (D.Min, MA, LPCC-S, LICDC-CS, NCC) is the director of clinical services at an inpatient psychiatric hospital in Ohio, where she is deeply committed to serving others in their journey toward mental wellness. She earned her Doctor of Ministry, as well as her Master’s in Clinical Counseling and Theology, all from Ashland University. Alisha is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, both with supervisor designation in Ohio. Additionally, she is licensed to provide mental health services in Michigan, North Carolina, and Oregon. Dr. Dennis-Brinson has served as an adjunct faculty member at Ashland University and previously held the role of Clinical Assistant Professor and Director for the Addictions Counseling, Prevention, and Human Services Department. With years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse fields, she has worked across various services, including administration, inpatient care, intensive outpatient programs, and individual, family, and group counseling. Alisha is an advocate for education and stigma reduction, driven by her passion for empowering individuals and communities. She has been married for 23 years to her loving husband Evis and together they are the proud parents of four children: Tymerin, Elisha, Nehemiah, and Desteny. They also share their home with two beloved pets, Bella and Billie. Her dedication to serving others extends beyond her professional life, as she continually seeks to make a positive impact in the lives of those around her.
