Dr. Susannah Griffith, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, earned her PhD in Hebrew Bible from Vanderbilt University in 2020. Since then, she has pursued a combination of teaching, ministry, and writing, and currently works full-time as a chaplain at a low-barrier homeless shelter in South Bend, Indiana. Dr. Griffith’s published works include Leaving Silence: Sexualized Violence, the Bible, and Standing with Survivors (Herald Press, 2021) and Forgiveness after Trauma: A Path to Find Healing and Empowerment (Brazos Press, 2024). Dr. Griffith lives with her three young daughters in Mishawaka, Indiana.
