Faculty
United
Theological Seminary has a faculty of outstanding teachers
and scholars who have deep roots in the church. Faculty
members are excellent teachers who maintain that excellence.
They
have earned national and international reputations for
their contributions to research and writing, as well as
participation and leadership in professional societies.
They are involved in national church forums, dialogues,
and committees and serve on editorial boards, boards of
social service agencies, and arts organizations. In ways
large and small, they impact contemporary theological education
and are recognized as committed teachers and scholars of
the church.
The
regular faculty consists of ten women and five men.
Five are members of the United Church
of Christ, four are Presbyterian,
two are United
Methodist,
one is Roman Catholic, and one is Episcopalian.
Adjunct faculty represent a broader array of Christian denominations
and include members of the Unitarian
Universalist and
Jewish faith traditions.
